D & I Excavating, Inc. was founded in 2011 and is a family owned and operated business by husband and wife team Derek and Ilene Hansen. Derek, President of D & I Excavating, Inc. has come from a long line of construction experience dating back to his grandfather's younger years. While they have enjoyed the challenge of owning and running the business, Derek's favorite place to be is out playing in the dirt on his equipment. They have been married since 2010 and  have 4 children. He has passed down the love of dirt to his children and will soon have lots of extra "little" hands to help him run his business.
